Talked with our customer rep Gustavo Garcia and it looks like there's no way to hide certain Basic components. We'd like to hide text and button. And there's a bug with overriding core components, so there's no workaround now.

We use WYSWIYG field for Blog content and it allows us to save tables when using the edit as code tab, but removes the tables whenever you make a change in the default preview view

This will ensure when a template is created it could not be accidentally deleted. By having a lock icon on template that is created would prevent premature deletion of this customized template
